  Overview

I was born in Madrid in 1979, where I grew up and studied Medicine (University of Alcalá), with a break during which I was able to move to Marseille (France) to study at its University for a year within the European Erasmus program. That experience allowed me not only to perfect the language, but also to get in touch with the different ways of doing and presenting medicine in another country. In addition to French, I speak fluent English and have some knowledge of Arabic.

After training as a General and Digestive System Surgeon at the Gregorio Marañón University Hospital, one of the most important in Spain , I worked for 9 years at the Infanta Leonor University Hospital. During these years I learned to value closeness and commitment as an essential element in the comprehensive treatment of patients. The next step in my career was another University Hospital in Madrid, The Infanta Sofía, were I became the Head of the Colorectal Surgery Unit in 2020, allowing me to take another step in making clinical and management decisions, both for patients and the rest of my colleagues.

In 2023 I made the decission to move to Dubai, a vibrant and always moving city, which medical scene is highly exigent, competitive and thriling, bringing my almost 20 years experience in the spanish public health system, with a huge volume of patients, to a lower volume, customised and patient centered attention.
